I am Doris Boschung-Johner and enthusiastic artist.
I revel in the joy of catering to diverse individual preferences and requests, a reflection of my own multifaceted interests. My portfolio showcases a broad range of creations, from abstract acrylic, oil, pencil paintings to clay sculptures, and from porcelain to stoneware tableware. Each unique piece is a testament to my ability to express myself in myriad ways, constantly exploring new mediums and techniques.
In addition to creating, I also enjoy sharing my passion for art by conducting pottery courses. These courses, much like my art, are not about prescribing a set way of doing things. Instead, I encourage and guide each participant to naturally develop their own style and artistic voice. I believe in fostering a nurturing environment that allows individual creativity to flourish.
I am deeply passionate about creating art that stirs emotions, regardless of whether these emotions are positive or negative. To me, art that fails to elicit a reaction has not fulfilled its purpose. My art serves as a medium for expressing my own emotions, moods, and thoughts in an intuitive manner, much like the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí. He once said, "Men may be divided into two types: men of words and men of action. The first speaks; the latter act. I am of the second group. I lack the means to express myself adequately. I would not be able to explain to anyone my artistic concepts. I have not yet concretised them. I never had time to reflect on them. My hours have been spent in my work"​1​.
Much like Gaudí, I do not follow any predetermined plans or sketches in my creation process. Instead, I allow myself to immerse in the creative flow, placing my trust in the process and the evolution of the art piece. This approach extends to all my works, including when I am drawing portraits. The final piece is not predetermined but unfolds naturally during the process, capturing the unique essence of the subject in a way that resonates with my personal creative flow.
